A view of a rocky valley and trees through a dark cave opening

Hi. I am Kristina Renée.

I created THRESHOLD to offer

you another pathway.

We live in a culture that praises connection but fails to teach us the nuance of how to handle it. Whether you are navigating a defensive colleague at work, an after-school meltdown at home, or walking beside someone through the profound sacred portals of grief, change and death—learning to move through these thresholds impacts us all.

When we or someone around us is struggling, the sheer weight of pain can easily spike our own anxiety. I have witnessed deeply caring humans tire themselves out by repeating old, inherited coping mechanisms instead of operating from a sustainable relational framework. Without a practical, repeatable compass to guide us, we find ourselves mapless; holding the tender landscape of another person's pain or our own with fear, hyper-vigilance, shutting down or over-giving—running ourselves ragged while often feeling deeply inadequate in our roles and positions.

Your exhaustion is not a personal defect. It is the natural, inevitable result of trying to hold immense emotional weight without a structured skillset.

Reacting to the immediate stress of the room—and deeply conditioned by cultural and familial backgrounds spanning generations of not having these same foundational practices—most of us fall into one of two relational traps:

The Sponge: Absorbing the Energy

We may open our energetic doors with loving intent, yet end up absorbing another's anxiety, stress or emotions. We walk away feeling completely drained and heavy, and disconnected to our center. We may confuse empathy with enmeshment, sacrificing our own peace just to prove we care.

The Fixer: Bypassing and Negating

Sitting with raw discomfort can spike our own stress response. To ease our panic and feel worthy in connection, we may rush to be "helpful" by jumping into "fix-it" mode. Fulfilling our conditioning to make things right, we might offer unsolicited advice or toxic positivity, inadvertently negating and dismissing another's actual experience.

What We Open When We Step Across the Threshold

Over these 6 weeks, we explore how to unlock a sustainable baseline for your everyday environments and begin breaking the cycle of generational conditioning:

The Path to True Self-Advocacy: Holding space for others is unsustainable if you cannot hold it for yourself. This is where we start. We practice tracking personal capacity in real time and looking honestly at the trap of inadequacy, creating deep connection to your inner guidance to build somatic awareness around speaking your needs clearly.

The Medicine of Being Heard: We learn to see and listen, and to allow ourselves and another person's reality to exist without trying to adjust, edit, or sugarcoat it. This practice is designed to help defuse defensive behaviors and invite radical trust into your relationships.

Understanding and Creating Boundaries: Move from viewing boundaries as walls that cut people off to seeing them as the clear architecture of safety and clean connection. By deepening your understanding of where you end and another person begins, you can begin repatterining towards healthy, compassionate parameters that protect your peace in real-time.

Dismantling the "Fixer": We look closely at the somatic anxiety that rises when someone around us is struggling. We practice catching the automatic urge to chase validation or a sense of worth by rushing in to solve it, learning what it means to step out of frantic helpfulness so another person's experience can simply exist.

Holding Portals of Transition: Learn and integrate practices and rituals to help you move through the daily transitions of life: leaving work stress at the office door, cultivating deeper availability for your family, and learning what it means to stand as a steady, loving anchor during life's heaviest moments of grief.

This 6-week container is a gentle, steady threshold.

Explore what happens when we lay down the old survival maps of fixing or absorbing, decelerate the frantic pace of our environments, and lean into the quiet authority of our own inner guidance.

Gather and integrate the practical layout of connection, untangling from generational exhaustion, and discover how wide your capacity can truly open when you choose to anchor yourself first.
